About Raw & Refined Renovations
For generations, we've been immersed in the building and remodeling industry. We've spent our lives learning the trade from the ground up-working alongside builders, craftsmen, and contractors, gaining the hands-on experience that can only come from years in the field. We've learned not only how to build beautiful spaces, but how much the details, the craftmenship, and the relationship with a client really matter.

After years of working behind the scenes, we decided it was time to take what we've learned and build something of our own. We created our renovation company with a simple idea: your home should feel personal, and the process of transforming it should feel personal , too.

We know there is a growing demand for something different-a closer, more collaborative experience where the homeowners/business owners aren't just handed off from designer to contractor to subcontractor. We want to be there from the first idea through the final detail, working alongside you to understand how you live, what you envision, and what will make your space truly feel like yours. Â

Our goal is to bring the experience of generations of craftsmen together with fresh, innovative approach to renovation. From design through finish, we're committed to creating spaces that are thoughtfully designed, beautifully built, and crafted with the same care we would put into our own homes.

We're not just renovating spaces. We're building relationships, creating something meaningful , and bringing a lifetime of craftsmanship into the spaces where life happens.

"I did't just find construction-I grew up in it. From an early age, I was surrounded by tools, materials, job-sites, and the kind of hands-on craftsmanship that becomes second nature when you've spent a lifetime around it. Over the years, being trained by my father, a master carpenter, and working for some of the highest quality builders in the area, I've developed an extensive skillset in finish carpentry, woodworking, remodeling, installation, and the countless details that go into turning a house into a finished space.

But for me, construction has always been about more than knowing how to build something. I've always had a strong creative and design side that allows me to the see the potential in a space-not just what it is, but what it could be. I love combining craftsmanship with unexpected details, beautiful finishes, thoughtful functionality, and a whole lot of personality. My style is rooted in quality craftsmanship, but I'm not afraid to think outside of the box, and typically do. I love creating spaces one wouldn't typically think of, and always get noticed.

One of the things I'm especially proud of is spending years teaching women how to work with their hands and confidently take on construction and finishing projects themselves, opening up my business, Timbers & Thyme. Teaching others gave me an entirely different perspective on the industry and reinforced something I've always believed: you don't have to fit the traditional image of a builder to be damn good at building.

Today, I'm bringing all of those pieces together-my lifelong construction experience, my eye for design, and my passion for empowering people-to create spaces that are beautifully built and uniquely personal, and I get to do it, with my family. I want our clients to feel heard, involved, and confident throughout the process, while knowing they have someone in their corner who genuinely cares about getting every detail right."

"I have been working in carpentry since I was 14 years old, learning and working under a master carpenter (my grandfather), for the past 11 years. Starting at such a young age gave me the opportunity to learn the trade hands-on and develop skills that I have continued building on throughout my life. I have learned early on the importance of doing things correctly, paying attention to small details, and taking pride in the finished product. That experience eventually helped give me the confidence to start my own woodworking business, Tessmer WoodWorks; where I have gained additional experience on more the 'business side' of operations.

Over the years, I have realized that what I enjoy the most about carpentry is being able to stand back at the end of a project and see the difference my work has made. While woodworking and finish carpentry have been the foundation of my experience, I have become increasingly interested in the bigger picture of construction. I enjoy seeing the entire space come together & figuring out how something outdated, unfinished, or poorly designed can be transformed into something completely different.

At 25, I have 11 years of exposure to this trade, but I also understand that there is always more to learn. My goal is to take the foundation I have built through years of working and expand my knowledge into residential remodeling and renovations. I see remodeling as the next step in my career because it allows me to continue doing the hands-on work I love, while integrating creative ideas and innovative solutions to outdated ideas."
